Aug 2005: Kingston Plantation offers Kids some Furry Fun. Build-A-Bear package provides guests with beach and bears!
Kingston Plantation has reported an increase in bear sightings since it teamed up with the Build-A-Bear Workshop to provide guests with its Furry Fun Package. Bears with hats, bears with glasses and even bears with roller blades have hit the grand strand beach.

Jul 2005: Tee Off for the Children. Kingston Plantation’s Annual Golf Challenge Scheduled for August 24th
Most anyone can think of several good reasons to play an afternoon of golf. But one of the best is the opportunity to benefit the community’s children. The Kingston Plantation Golf Challenge at Arcadian Shores Golf Course on Aug. 24 at 1:30 p.m., will benefit the Horry County Children’s Shelter. Last year, the Golf Challenge raised $10,000 for the Shelter. This year, the goal is $15,000.

Apr 2005: Kingston Plantation’s $2 Million Renovation Offers Guests “Suite Dreams”
Kingston Plantation is in the final stages of its $2 million room renovation project for its oceanfront Embassy Suites Hotel. The project, which began in October, focuses on upgrades to all of its 255 suites. The renovations are being completed by Interspace Design Group, Inc. based in Coconut Grove, Fl.
