Kingston Resorts adds Soap Recycling Program to Green Initiatives
Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort at Kingston Shores and Embassy Suites at Kingston Plantation announced today, as part of their ongoing commitment to sustainable practices, their participation in the Global Soap Project to recycle soap used by guests on both properties. The Global Soap Project recycles soap from American hotels and distributes them to people in Africa. The soap is collected, sanitized and melted into new bars before they are shipped to refugee camps.

Bob Barenberg with Kingston Plantation and Kingston Shores named Hotelier of the Year
Bob Barenberg, managing director of the Embassy Suites at Kingston Plantation and Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort at Kingston Shores, was named the South Carolina Hotelier of the Year by the Hospitality Association of South Carolina. The Hotelier of the Year Award is presented by Southern Wine & Spirits to honor the hotel owner, manager or company that shows exemplary customer service, employee relations, community service and dedication to advancing the lodging industry of South Carolina.

Kingston Plantation and Kingston Shores initiated a viral marketing campaign to seek a deserving individual to receive a special vacation package, The Royal Treatment Getaway at Kingston Resorts. Rebecca Duncan from Greenwood, South Carolina was the winner for the Valentine’s Day drawing that includes a three-day, two-night weekend retreat at Kingston Plantation or Kingston Shores.
