Kingston Resorts’ Vintage Twelve Chef Keeps Customers Coming Back For More

Resort Tailors Menus to Customers’ Palates

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – June 12, 2014 – Kingston Resorts’ Chef Caitlin Brady is always looking for the freshest ingredients, trying new products and talking to customers to see what they want. Continually she refines offerings, not only based on what’s fresh, but also what’s hot. Current trends include gluten-free menus and ones that elevate kids’ dining experiences at the 44-seat restaurant with scenic views along the Atlantic Ocean.

At Vintage Twelve, Kingston Resorts’ sleek upscale restaurant in Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort, a gluten-free menu is available to all guests. It includes an assortment of fresh salads, pimento cheese or shrimp creole appetizers and a selection of entrées featuring naturally raised meats and fresh fish or seafood caught from Murrells Inlet, S.C.

“We specialize in local fare both from the farms and from our fisherman,” said Brady. “The majority of our offerings are creative twists on Southern fare making it fresher, healthier and even more delicious. Our local farm and seafood partners allow us to share these offerings with our guests. Some crops were a little delayed from the cold winter, but we’re so pleased to have an abundance of fresh peaches and triggerfish to add to the menu this summer.”

For kids, the menu goes beyond chicken fingers and fries to also offer fresh fish, flatbread pizza, peanut butter and jelly or grilled chicken. These healthier items are paired with local vegetables, fresh fruit or potato wedges. “When kids learn healthy eating at a young age, they develop better habits that will follow them through life,” said Brady.

The adjacent Kingston Shores has also opened two new restaurant venues that are more  casual and fun for the summer season. These include Royale Playa, a poolside restaurant  at Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, which offers nachos, tacos, salad, Mexican beers and crowd-favorite margaritas. The Frozen Whistle is a new ice cream shop adjacent to Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort that serves shakes, scoops and sundaes.
