Myrtle Beach area is considered the jewel of South Carolina. Not only is the atmosphere beautiful but the dining experience is exquisite.

Chef Peter Gennaro from Kingston Plantation visited us today on Morning Live with some to-die-for dishes.

Low country She Crab Soup

1 tbsp butter, unsalted
½ qt fish stock
½ qt heavy cream
½ cup heavy cream, whipped
1 tsp lemon juice
¼ tsp mace
¼ tsp pepper
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp flour
2 cups white crab meat and crab roe
½ tsp salt
4-6 tbsp dry sherry
Paprika and chives to garnish


Using a heavy sauce pan melt butter and blend with flour to make a roux. Gradually stir in milk. Add crab and roe and all seasonings except for sherry. Simmer for 20 minutes stirring frequently

To serve place a tbsp of dry sherry at the bottom of each serving vessel. Add soup and top with a dollop of whip cream. Sprinkle with chives and paprika.
